The Healing Power of Vibration

Vibrational Medicine is energy medicine and is based on the principle that all things that exist contain vibration or energy. The polarity of matter is represented by creative forces brought together as opposites attract. Whereas resonance and vibration are based on the principle of similars. Resonance is created through harmonic oscillations that can harm or hurt depending on the frequency. The principle of resonance can be applied to cellular healing via re-harmonizing the cell. Disruption of the cell’s frequencies can result in disease due to imprints secondary to toxic substances, emotional trauma, long term noise pollution and pathogens.

The law of vibration is not as well-known as the law of energy but is universal. Everything vibrates at differing speeds and vibrational frequencies. Vibration is described as the motion of particles through a medium that have been displaced and attempt to restore equilibrium. Vibration reflects displacement of energy that is proportional to the disturbance causing the displacement. All systems are subject to forces, including vibration. The nature of physical existence recognizes the relationship between energy and vibration. Physical objects are subject to structure, predictable patterns, and vibration much like the cell membrane. Energy is created and circulated through out the body like a grand symphony creating energy and vibration. All matter perceives vibration and will resonate and attune to the frequency of the body and thoughts. When this balance is disturbed, pathology can exist. Vibrational healing allows the body to attune to frequencies that resonate with health and balance. Healing can occur when the mind and the body are attuned, centered and receptive. Subtle energies are those that are hidden and unconscious that reflect the mind-body connection. The conscious mind embodies energy and undergoes a shift dependent on thoughts. Disturbances in these energies cause instability at the physical level as well as the cellular level. Prolonged imbalance of these energies will allow disease to materialize.

Vibrational energy transforms consciousness, the source of all that creates and manifests energy. Aristotle described energy as information that vibrates and is derived from the vital force. This vital force is the impetus of all creation and the cornerstone of healing through vibrational energy. Subtle energy cannot be measured but travels faster than the speed of electromagnetic light. Subtle energy cannot be seen but can be felt. It is the energy that composes prana. Alignment of this subtle energy sustains the cells allowing the life force to flow. This vital force is the source for health and regeneration and is exhibited through frequency.

Over the millennia, vibrational frequencies have been utilized in healing. Whether through sound vibrations, geometric configurations, electromagnetic impulses or intention, vibration has the ability to heal and change the physiology of the body.
Cymatics explores healing through vibrational frequencies. Vibrational codes made through sound in a combination of frequencies causing cells to reestablish their natural healthy state of vibration. Combining frequencies demonstrates the greatest capacity for healing. Cymatics coverts sound vibrations to patterns. These can be seen in geometric configurations. Vibration and sound can influence matter. Sound can balance a person’s charka and energetic system which will help promote relaxation, reduce tension, and allow the body to heal.
Tibetan Singing Bowls is an example of vibrational frequencies that has been used for centuries for ceremonies, meditation, and healing. Today these bowls can be used in diagnosis and treatment of trauma. The bowl can resonate different tones as it passes over different areas of the body. The resonating tone can indicate an area of energy blockage. The bowl can then be used to clear and rebalance energy fields in the body.
Pythagoras utilized music to heal the body and emotions through a study of vibrating strings. There he discovered the relationship of tone and ratio of strings. Pythagoras theorized that atoms in the body emitted movement, rhythm, and vibration. He believed that sound can change substances. Consider for a moment the nature of vibration and how vibrations can travel through water and air. The body of water within possesses the same principles. Human consciousness possesses the ability to influence vibration through thought, words of love and peace. Negative or lower frequency vibrations interact with the entire body and create disease, sickness, stress, and depression.
Tonal frequencies can affect the brain and generates external electromagnetic frequency patterns that reflect the state of the thoughts. Frequencies of 444 Hz can activate organs within the body, positively influencing the DNA. Frequencies of 528 Hz can affect the brain and influence feelings of shame or unworthiness, thus impacting the cells of the heart and elicits a sense of love.
Ultrasounds use mechanical energy that is characterized by vibrating or moving particles within a medium and can elevate the temperature of tissues impacting the vibrational frequencies of the cells. Cellular cavitation forms cavitation bubbles. When these bubbles are adjacent to each other, they burst and lead to cell death. Sound and sound vibration can restore function when the body is out of tune and can alter the homeostatic energies within the body.
Cells can interact and respond to external stimuli and application of mechanical acoustic vibrations. Fibroblasts are cells that are involved in the wound healing process and can be manipulated and influenced by sound vibration. Fibroblast migration occurs when acoustic vibration of 100 Hz is applied and forms an actin structure, thus, accelerating wound healing.
Many scientists attempted to explore this theory of vibration, some leading to success, others to failure. Dr. Royal Rife was a microbiologist during the early 1900’s and had a passion for healing. He built a microscope that could view cancer viruses attacking human cells. He devised a way to split visible light into wavelengths that could be measured. In doing so, he was able to individualize the beam on the virus and discovered the virus resonates when visualized under the microscope. Rife observed the cancer virus and how the virus could take on different shapes as it goes through its lifecycle. He devised a technique that could match the vibration of the virus and increased the intensity of the oscillation causing the virus to collapse. The targeted virus is destroyed leaving the surrounding tissue intact.
Antoine Priore developed an electromagnetic device that could emit the impulse mimicking the imprint of the microbe or cancer virus and could obliterate it. The apparatus designed was programmed for the signature frequency of each disease-causing microbe. Unfortunately, funding for his research was withdrawn and completion of the research came to a halt.
In the early 1990’s, Barry Lynes devised a device that could apply low voltage to HIV infected blood in a test tube. When the low amplitude voltage was applied, the virus was unable to produce reverse transcriptase and unable to reproduce itself. The virus then becomes visible to the immune system and is destroyed.

The human body contains patterns and polarities that permeate every cell. It determines the nature of metabolism, nerve conduction and signaling, division of cells and delivery of all nutrients. It also responds to external stimuli through vibration. According to the principles of Quantum physics, the world is interdependent and dependent on signaling from the internal and external environment. Subtle energy changes catalyze biotransformation and induces healing.

The concept of healing through vibration is complex and is a novel approach to healing, however, it is an important step in the path of evolution and may transcend the established narrow paradigm.

Modulating microbiota can modulate the mind.

Much research has been done to explore the connection of the gut and the brain, particularly of the HPA axis. For years, the hypothesis of how the gut microbiota could influence the brain has been a question of much debate. Researchers have attempted to examine how psychiatric conditions were improved by altering the microflora of the GI system. Modifications of the gut were made through the administration of probiotics and found that this minimized anxiety in animal studies and decreased serum cortisol in patients.
Evidence has shown that prenatal and postnatal periods are a time of rapid development of the brain and is susceptible to influences inutero. Epidemiological data found that there was an association of neurodevelopmental disorders and exposure of pathogenic microbes.
It has been suggested that as carbohydrates found in the diet are broken down to become short chain fatty acids this induces colonic motility, suppresses incidence of colon cancer, and helps to regulate the appetite. Short chain fatty acids also interact with the sympathetic nervous system via nerve cells and aid in memory and learning processes. Bifidobacteria infantis, a bacterium found in the gut, has been shown to increase the presence of tryptophan, thus influencing the pool of serotonin. This could then influence behavior. Lactobacillus rhammosus has demonstrated efficacy in lowering stress induced levels of corticosterone, anxiety and depression related behavior found in animal studies.
T-regulatory cells found in the gut also play an active role in immune function. GALT is influenced by differing microbes, pathogens, and interleukins. Interleukin 17 is converted to TH17 cells and crosses the blood-brain barrier. Thus, altering the gut-brain axis, immune function, and behavior.
The gut microbiome has a profound effect on neurotransmitters, GALT, and the endocrine system. Researchers have accomplished much in the field of discovery of how the microbiome of the gut influences the brain, however, much research still needs to be explored.

Are your teeth making you sick?

Infections of the mouth can remain silent for a long period of time and may be difficult to manage. Consequently, these infections of the mouth and teeth may not always present in the mouth. They may present distally and cause irregularities in the heart. This may throw off guard the inexperienced practitioner or unsuspecting individual that may not be aware of ipsilateral presentation of dental foci infections. When an individual has a mercury and gold amalgam filling, this can cause a current to form and cause serious erosion of the mercury filling. Chronic infections can cause destruction of the jawbone. This can be demonstrated in a high-quality x-ray. Quite often the extent of the destruction isn’t caught until an extensive amount of bone has been destroyed.
The decision to have a root canal or tooth extraction can be complex, but no matter what decision is made, choosing a biological dentist is best. These individuals specialize in extracting devitalized teeth. A root canal may harbor dangerous bacteria and cause jawbone cavitation. A conventional dentist may not remove all the ligaments when extracting a tooth and this may cause a cavitation in the jawbone. This can hinder the growth of new blood vessels, impede healing and new growth of bone.
Patients with heavy metal fillings should have them removed prior to any type of cavitation surgery. It’s essential that the patient detoxes the liver and kidney to optimize function prior to surgery. Rest is essential for proper healing. It is recommended that patients undergoing this procedure should at least take off 3 days status post-surgery. If a dry socket should form, this would allow bacteria to invade and potentially cause infection. Isopathic drops and homeopathic remedies can aid in facilitating healing.
Ultimately, the decision is up to the patient. However, it is essential that the patient is given all the options to make an informed decision.

Is your gut microbiota impacting your immune system?

I truly believe, you are what you eat. Unfortunately, the general public is quite unaware of the microbiota and how a poor diet can not only affect them physically, but also physiologically, biochemically, and immunologically.
The microflora of the gut is populated initially by the environment it encounters upon birth. This allows the microbiota to flourish and advance in complexity. The normal adult microbiota is very diverse and specialized. Consequently, having a positive net effect on the immune system overall. The diversity and bacterial load play a specific role in the immunity and pathological disease. The intestinal epithelium acts as a barrier and is highly responsive to gastrointestinal immune mediated signaling. Within the intestinal epithelium IgA can be found. Immunoglobulin A has demonstrated its efficacy in bacterial infections and colonization.

It is still unclear if the composition of a developing gut microbiome could then impact the adult later in life secondarily due to imprinting. In a study performed on germ-free mice, the levels of iNKT cells were found to be elevated in the lungs and of the colon, specifically the lamina propria, thus, activating a cytokine reaction. Consequently, these germ-free mice were found to have increased morbidity and induction of IBD and allergic asthma. It was found that the timing was critical with exposure to microbes. Neonatal colonization of the mice shortly after birth would allow for tolerance later in life. The germ-free mice and mice that had limited exposure to a variety of microbes demonstrated elevated levels of IgE. These mice were more likely to have antigen induced anaphylaxis.

The communication between the gut microbiome and immune system is impacted by the diet. Commensal bacteria break down food for energy in the colon, thus, making nutrients available. Germ free mice were found to have less short chain fatty acids and suffered from profound inflammation. Unfortunately, much like the germ-free mice, the American diet is lacking in nutrients, as well as, short chain fatty acids and allows for the overgrowth of pathological bacteria and inflammation. This has contributed to the expansion of immunity related diseases and overall mortality.

Diversity in the microbiome of the gut is extremely beneficial and has shown to influence the immune system. However, further research needs to be completed on the development of the gut microbiome as it relates to the development of disease pathology later in life.

Is your gut microbiota making you tired?

In today’s society, chronic fatigue has most certainly increased because of poor dietary habits, sedentary lifestyle, stress, and environmental exposures. Often those suffering from chronic fatigue can have IBS, anxiety, depression, extreme fatigue after activities and impaired cognition. Unfortunately, many other syndromes and pathologies can present in the same manner. This is why it can be a challenge to diagnose someone with chronic fatigue syndrome. In high stress states and infections, activation of the HPA axis occurs releasing inflammatory mediators and cytokines. This allows for the correlation of IBS and chronic fatigue. Evidence has demonstrated that the gut microbiota in patients with chronic fatigue were markedly altered and had lower levels of bifidobacteria and a higher number of aerobic bacteria. This can cause the anxiety and depression that a patient with chronic fatigue may experience. Some research has demonstrated a connection between viral infections such as EBV, parvovirus, and human herpes virus and chronic fatigue syndrome. Infections caused by gram negative bacteria has shown a significant increase in concentrations of IgA and IgM to the lipopolysaccharide layer of the gram negative bacteria.
Over time, our gut microbiota has evolved and adapted to our environment and stressors. Research has shown that stress diminishes Lactobacillus in the gut and allows for opportunistic pathogens to thrive. This allows for oxidative stress and inflammation. Patients with chronic fatigue have been found to have lower levels of glutathione. This will further increase inflammation and more oxidative stress. This inflammation will then affect the gut epithelium and can cause serious health consequences. Over growth of pathogenic bacteria in the gut will allow for an increase of hydrogen sulfide which can give off a “rotten egg” odor and is very toxic to humans. Patients with chronic fatigue were shown to have higher levels of hydrogen sulfide which plays a major role in the deprivation of energy in patients suffering with chronic fatigue syndrome.
Patients with chronic fatigue were also found to have impaired mitochondria. When the mitochondria are dysfunctional, ATP cannot be recycled, thus, impairing the energy required for the mitochondria to function. This will then affect the energy and stamina experienced by the patient. Deficiencies in CoQ10 can also affect the mitochondria. CoQ10 is necessary for the mitochondria to function and to produce ATP. Patients with chronic fatigue were found to have significantly lower levels of CoQ10. Unfortunately, with the increase in statin administration in today’s society, levels of CoQ10 will further be depleted. Much research still needs to be explored to completely understand the depth of the correlation associated with the brain and the gut microbiota.

I hope this has deepened your understanding of how the gut flora can influence our brain and body. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I would be happy to help!

Until next time, I wish you peace, love and good health.

What is Naturopathic Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy is extremely important to naturopathic medicine. It uses the therapeutic benefits of water applied in various temperatures to induce specific outcomes. Naturopathic practitioners can use hydrotherapy to soothe or stimulate the systems within the body. Often hydrotherapy is used in conjunction with other natural therapies. Water is the most flexible medium and can create desired effects through thermic and mechanical techniques. It is capable of absorbing heat and is considered a universal solvent. Hydrotherapy can help relieve headaches, sinus infections, and colds. It can aid in soothing aching muscles, as well as, speed up the healing process with muscles and joints. Hydrotherapy can lower fevers and promote circulation. Varying the temperature of the water can reduce stress, inflammation, stimulate the immune system and improve circulation.

What can hydrotherapy be used for?

Colds, flu, and infections
Insomnia, stress, headaches
Immune system disorders
Pain relief
Injuries and inflammatory conditions
Circulatory and respiratory disorders
Detoxification and elimination
Increases energy levels, regulates blood sugar levels

What are the different types of hydrotherapy?

Constitutional hydrotherapy
Russian Steam bath
Peat Immersion bath
Contrast hydrotherapy
Enterolavage

Is Hydrotherapy safe?

Generally speaking, hydrotherapy is safe, however, should not be used in patients with decreased sensory abilities as in the elderly, diabetic and infants. These populations are at higher risk for injury. Hydrotherapy should not be used over hemorrhagic areas, malignancy, peripheral vascular disease, gastric ulcers, and conditions that may become exacerbated by extreme cold. Patients with hypertension should consult with their physician prior to therapy. (This would include the use of hot tubs and other heating therapies.) Hydrotherapy can be in conjunction essential oils. Great caution should be exercised as this may cause an allergic reaction.

I hope you have a better understanding of Naturopathic hydrotherapy. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me. I would be happy to help!

Until next time, I wish you love, peace and good health.

Homeopathy…Pseudoscience or cutting edge nanotechnology?

Homeopathy was first developed in Germany in the late 1800’s by physician Samuel Hahnemann who strongly believed is a natural method of healing that allowed the body to work in harmony with the immune system. Homeopathy comes from the Greek word meaning “similar suffering”. Homeopaths believe in the practice of treating illness and disease through the law of similar. Meaning, treating likes with likes.

Homeopathic remedies use materials derived from flora, fauna and minerals that are prepared by repeatedly diluting the substance. The dilution process used is called “succession” which “potentizes” the medicine. (Succession is a method of shaking the diluted remedy. Potentization makes the remedy stronger)
After many dilutions, the actual substance can no longer be detected, however, it has left an energy pattern imprinted on the remedy.

How does it work?

The science behind homeopathy is not quite clear and often scientists are quick to dismiss it. Sceptics claim this is simply through placebo effect, however, animals and children have received these remedies and thrive.
It is important to note that the dose often recommended by homeopathic doctors is very small. Patients that are hypersensitive may experience an aggravation. This will pass. When the right dose and right remedy is given, it causes the body’s defenses to start the healing process.

How long does it take?

Often homeopathic remedies are fast acting on acute infections and inflammation as in nausea, vomiting, fever, colds, the flu, and ear infections. Chronic disease, in contrast, may take time. These are often more complex and require more patience.

Is homeopathy safe to use?

Homeopathy is safe for everyone. In contrast, herbal supplements can be harmful if given in large doses and while pregnant or lactating. Homeopathic remedies are diluted to such a degree that all the toxicity has been removed.
Homeopathy can be combined with conventional medicine. Depending on the disease process, it can help the body to heal faster, improve symptoms and may reduce the need for conventional medicine altogether. You should continue to consult your primary care physician during this process. Never stop taking your medication unless otherwise advise by your physician.

I hope you have a deeper understanding of homeopathy, a modality that is used by Naturopathic doctors. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me.

Until then, I wish you love, peace and good health.

What is Naturopathic Medicine?

What is naturopathic medicine anyway?

This can vary depending on who you’re speaking to and their understanding of what naturopathic medicine is. The American Naturopathic Association defines naturopathic medicine as “a distinct primary health care profession that emphasizes prevention, treatment, and optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and substances that encourage an individual’s inherent self-healing”.
So, what does that mean? Essentially, what naturopathic medicine is…is using the body’s inherent ability to heal itself through the use of specific modalities encouraging the innate along with the healing process. It’s the reason when we get sick, we always get better. Over time, we as a human race have chosen to evolve and adapt to our environment. This is what naturopathic medicine is based on.

Naturopathic medicine involves:

The healing power of nature within. This is what we call in the profession…the Vis Medicatrix Naturae. Naturopathic medicine recognizes the innate healing process within people and that it is ordered and intelligent. Naturopathic physicians act to remove the obstacles to cure that could negatively impact this ordered and intelligent process.

What exactly is an obstacle to cure?

Obstacles are things that inhibit our ability to heal naturally and heal well. This is based on our determinants. Determinants are essential aspects of our lives that can impact our health…like sleep, diet, hydration, rest, and relaxation.

Naturopathic physicians attempt to identify the root cause of illness rather than eliminating symptoms or just suppressing them. They treat each patient as an individual assessing all aspects of the patient including physical, emotional, social, spiritual, genetic, and environmental factors.

NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE IS TOTAL HEALTH

Naturopathic physicians are guided by the principle of Do No Harm. This is based on the following principles:
Use the least invasive, minimal force necessary to diagnose and treat.
Use methods and medicinal substances that have low risk for adverse side effects.

Naturopathic doctors emphasize disease prevention looking at all aspects of the patient, assessing their risk factors, predisposition to disease and making appropriate recommendations in conjunction with the patient.

Naturopathic physicians believe that doctor means “teacher”. This is using every opportunity to educate and empower the patient, encouraging them to be advocates for their own health. This is why it is so important to develop that trusting relationship from the beginning.

Naturopathic physicians understand the art of healing and can successfully treat acute and chronic conditions.

I hope you have a better understanding of what naturopathic medicine is. If you have any questions, feel free to message me and I would be happy to help.

Until next time,

I wish you peace, love, and good health.
